Celebrating excellent results from top boarding schools

2024 GCSE results

 

St Paul’s School – More than 70% of all grades were at 9 with more than 90% at 8 – 9, and 35 boys gaining an astonishing 11 grade 9s.

Westminster School – 94% of all grades awarded were at 9 or 8, equivalent to an A*, with 77% at the highest 9 grade alone. The ‘A grade’ (9-7) percentage was at just under 99%.

Brighton College – An outstanding year for Brighton College. 81% of GCSE results were Grade 8-9. 95% graded at Grade 7-9 and 99% graded at Grade 6-9.

Tonbridge School – An impressive 72% of those being 8 or 9. Notably, almost half of the cohort (75 boys) achieved nine or more top grades. More than two-thirds of the cohort secured nine or more 7-9 grades.

Abingdon School – An outstanding set of results with 43.8% of passes at Grade 9, 69.8% of passes at Grades 8-9, and 85.7% of passes at Grades 7-9.

Oundle School – Another strong set of results for Oundle School, with 30% of all grades awarded were grade 9. 53% of grades awarded were either a Grade 8 or 9 and 74% graded at 7-9. Grade 9 was the most common grade achieved, with the average grade standing at 7.4.

Dulwich College – Students achieved an excellent set of GCSE results with 44% of grades at 9 and 91% achieving Grade 7 and above. 63 pupils achieved all 8 or 9 grades.

Marlborough College – Outstanding results from Marlborough College: over 20% of entries were awarded the coveted Grade 9, more than 44% were at Grade 8 or above and 69% were at 7-9.

Headington School – 59% achieved Grades 8 and 9 and 79% achieved Grades 7 or above. 99% achieved Grades 4-9.

Downe House – 81% of all grades were awarded at grades 7-9 (A-A*), and just under three quarters of our girls achieved 7 or more A-A*/7-9 grades. 

Caterham School – Results shone brightly across the full gamut of subjects studied, almost half of all graded at grade 9. Average result profile for a Caterham pupil is 10 GCSEs at grade 8. Average individual grade is grade 8. 20 pupils achieved 10 grade 9s or more. Over 85% of all GCSE grades were 7-9.

Wellington College – 2024 saw the best-ever percentage grade 9 awarded, with over 38% of all grades awarded at that level . 65% of all grades are 8 or 9.
